TDN Launches Air Distribution Summit 2027, Bringing Africa’s Distribution Debate to Lagos

Travel Distribution News will convene senior leaders from airlines, travel retailers, distribution platforms, technology companies and payments providers in Lagos, Nigeria, on 26 May 2027 for the inaugural TDN Air Distribution Summit.

The single-day executive summit is built around the people responsible for how air travel is priced, distributed, sold, connected and settled across Africa and emerging markets. It arrives at a moment when the underlying questions facing the industry have shifted from technical to commercial.

NDC is changing how airline content reaches the market. Offer and Order are changing the architecture of airline commerce itself. Revenue management and dynamic pricing are becoming more tightly linked to distribution, while travel agencies and TMCs are adapting to a more fragmented content environment. At the same time, payments, FX, settlement and local financial infrastructure remain fundamental to whether modern airline retailing can actually scale across African markets.

The question for the industry is no longer whether distribution is changing. It is what the next distribution model will look like, and who will shape it.

Confirmed speakers include Nowel Ngala, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Peace; Dr Yinka Folami, President of NANTA; Albert Fernando, Founder and CEO of Travelwings; Adedayo Olawuyi, Chief Commercial Officer of United Nigeria Airlines; and representatives from ASKY, Jambojet, Wego, OnePipe and AESATA. A thought leadership conversation with Lauri Reishus, President and CEO of Airlines Reporting Corporation, will examine the evolving relationship between airlines and travel sellers, as well as the future of payments and settlement.

Confirmed participating institutions include Lufthansa Group, Air Peace, EgyptAir, ASKY, Turkish Airlines, fastjet, ValueJet, LIFT, ARC and More.

The summit is invitation-only. Airlines, OTAs, travel agencies and industry associations will take part by invitation, while technology and payments companies will participate as approved industry delegates.
