Stepping into the CEO role on 1 April 2026 will be John Mangelaars, currently Travelport’s Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, who joins the Board of Directors immediately.
Under Greg Webb’s leadership, Travelport navigated a period of substantial growth and transformation. Since taking the helm in 2019, Webb strengthened customer relationships, expanded into new markets, and advanced innovation across Travelport’s product suite achievements that reinforced the company’s position as a technology partner of choice for travel agencies and suppliers.
During his tenure, Webb was also recognized as European CEO of the Year in the Travel Technology Industry for his role in driving disruption and modernisation in a complex sector.
John Swainson, Chairman of the Board at Travelport, commented: “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Greg for his outstanding leadership and contributions over the past six and a half years. Under his guidance, Travelport delivered notable accomplishments that underscore their position as a technology leader in travel retailing. We are delighted to welcome John Mangelaars as Travelport’s new CEO. His deep expertise in technology and proven ability to revolutionise travel platforms make him the ideal leader for Travelport’s next chapter.”
John Mangelaars brings over three decades of experience across technology and travel sectors spanning global strategy, operational excellence, and digital innovation. Prior to joining Travelport in September 2025, Mangelaars held senior executive roles including CEO at Skyscanner, where he led the company through recovery and growth in the generative AI era, and CEO at Travix International, where he drove significant international expansion and early adoption of modern distribution standards such as NDC.
In his remarks on the transition, Mangelaars said, “I’m honored to take on the role of CEO at such an exciting time for Travelport and the industry. Our mission remains clear: to enhance travel retailing by delivering smarter, faster, and more connected solutions for our customers. I look forward to working with our excellent team and valued partners to continue driving innovation and growth.”
