TUI Airline Named Launch Customer for Amadeus Navitaire Stratos Retailing Platform

TUI Airline, one of Europe’s leading leisure airline groups, has been named a launch customer for Navitaire Stratos, a next-generation airline retailing solution developed by Navitaire, part of the Amadeus travel technology group.

Navitaire Stratos is designed for low-cost and hybrid airlines and provides modern retailing capabilities across product, offer, cart, order and traveler management. The platform is built to support airlines as they transition from traditional booking and ticketing systems to more flexible, offer-based retailing models.

Amadeus said the agreement builds on a partnership spanning more than two decades between Navitaire and TUI, aimed at improving the end-to-end travel experience across the group’s airline operations. As part of the next phase of collaboration, TUI Airline will introduce new features such as a modern shopping cart, allowing travelers to search and compare offers, save selections, and return later to complete their purchase with updated pricing. The functionality mirrors leading e-commerce platforms and is intended to give travelers greater flexibility when planning their journeys.

The platform will also enable TUI Airline to deliver personalised recommendations and integrate third-party services including car rentals, activities and accommodation directly through its digital channels, offering customers more tailored choices throughout the booking process.

Peter Glade, Chief Commercial Officer of TUI Airline, said Navitaire Stratos will play a central role in the airline’s ambition to build one of the most modern commercial set-ups in the industry. He noted that the solution will support the creation of contextual and relevant offers, including ancillaries, while enhancing retailing capabilities through intelligent recommendations, dynamic offers and a shopping cart designed to improve conversion.

Navitaire Stratos is aligned with IATA Offer and Order standards and is being developed on a flexible, cloud-native technology stack. According to Amadeus, the platform’s open architecture and use of artificial intelligence will help airlines innovate faster, operate more efficiently and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market.

Cyril Tetaz, Executive Vice President of Airline Solutions at Amadeus, said working closely with TUI Airline as a launch customer will ensure continuity as the group transitions from the Navitaire New Skies platform, while also helping shape a next-generation Offer and Order reference solution for low-cost and hybrid carriers.

Amadeus added that Navitaire Stratos will support revenue growth by making offers more relevant, improving conversion rates and driving additional sales through smarter upsell and cross-sell recommendations, including partner content delivered via industry-standard frameworks. Built-in automation is expected to further enhance business agility.

Implementation of the solution will be led by TUI InfoTec, the TUI Group’s IT subsidiary, working in collaboration with Amadeus.
