HBX Group has announced a strategic partnership with Outpayce to support the development of a new global fintech platform aimed at modernizing payments across its travel distribution ecosystem.
The collaboration will see Outpayce provide the payment infrastructure for a new program designed to simplify and automate transactions between travel agencies and suppliers connected to HBX Group’s global network.
Outpayce, the payments business of Amadeus, will deploy its cloud-based payment technology to support B2B payment flows across the platform. The solution is expected to streamline how travel sellers pay hotels and other travel suppliers while reducing operational complexity associated with cross-border transactions.
Travel payments remain one of the most complex operational areas in the industry. Transactions often involve multiple currencies, payment methods, and reconciliation processes between distributors, agencies, and suppliers. HBX Group said the new initiative is intended to simplify these processes and improve efficiency across the travel value chain.
The platform will introduce several payment capabilities for partners within the HBX ecosystem, including the use of virtual cards issued through Outpayce, access to payment data insights, and integration with the Outpayce B2B Wallet. The system will also include a dedicated portal for payment management, settlement, and reporting.
According to the companies, the initiative is designed to improve payment acceptance and provide travel partners with greater visibility and control over transactions. Automation and standardized payment flows are also expected to reduce manual processing for agencies and suppliers operating within the HBX network.
HBX Group said the partnership reflects its broader strategy to strengthen the financial infrastructure supporting its distribution platform. The company connects thousands of travel distributors with hotel suppliers and other travel service providers worldwide through its technology marketplace.
Both companies also plan to expand the program over time to support inbound payment capabilities, enabling a more integrated end-to-end payment ecosystem across the travel industry.
The agreement marks another step in the continued convergence of travel distribution platforms and fintech infrastructure as travel companies invest in technologies designed to improve the movement of money across the global travel marketplace.
